2011 Christmas Fun Shoot

We have, in lane order :
  1. Air pistol at 10m off the support if people want it.
Two exploding chalk discs (discs courtesy of Elanne).
Align the sights of the pistol with the horizontal black line on the target.
6 shots; 25 points per disc.  Disc must be completely removed.

  2. Air rifle at 10m (standing) [front support available if you want]
6 shots - the string holding up the santa/sweets is through the middle of the centre target,
100 points for cutting the string.  None for a nick.

  3. Iron sights; front rest; 4 exploding chalk discs (courtesy of Elanne)
6 shots - and a sighter if you want it. 10 points per disc. 60 extra points for all 4.
No part of the disc must remain on the target.

  4. Bench, scoped LH target rifle; 4 candle flames against the clock; 2 tall candles; 2 tea-light
    Candle out -> 20 points
Candle damaged -> 40 points off; so 80 at best score minus 240 at worst
6 shots  in total (sighters as part of the 6 shots at a bull card behind candles).
Less sighters -> more shots at candles
You will have a stopwatch to "stop" when you are finished your shots.  If the watch time looks
    suspicious you lose all points.

  5. A "pop up" target.
Sporting rifle with scope and bi-pod; targets will appear for 3 seconds, 1 shot each time the target appears
put 2 shots at each of 4 aiming marks.
2 magazines of 4 shots to be available.  Magazines out when you finish.
    Maximum score 80 points.
You have to remember which targets you have shot.  Extra shots at a target count as MISSES.
    No sighters.

  6. Team of 2 shoot. Bench; iron sight target rifle
1 aims, the other pulls the trigger.
1st shooter supports rifle, front rest and shoulder,
2nd pulls trigger and cant otherwise touch the rifle or the other shooter
target rifle with 10 bull targets;  middle 2 and bottom 4 targets only to count,
the top 4 targets can be for practice
    Maximum score 60 points

  7. Team of 2 "front rested" scoped club rifle
After 6 shots you have to make the rifle safe and let the other team member shoot.
12 shots no sighters at "German dart-board"; whatever the best score is is the best!
    If you hit a line you get the lowest score around it;
120 second time limit for the 10 shots.

  8. Plus some "random" targets you can try your hand at.

Shooters

Safety first.

Safety flags must be used. No horse-play. Please stay in lane until told you can leave by the RO.

We shoot in details.  Details will be about 10 minutes.

Rifles must point down-range at all times.  No rifles or pistols to be removed from the firing point.

Before you start:- Flags in, magazines out.
When you finish:- Flags in, magazines out.

Shooters can only have their names on the board twice at any time.

Put your names on the board AND ON THE CARDS; NO NAMES ON CARDS THEN NO SCORE.

If the place is not too hectic then you can shoot as often as you like, but the FIRST targets shot on any lane count as the competition cards.
NO PRACTICE CARDS.

Have fun.
