Winter League Competition
Club teams of four
Range 15, 20 or 25 yards.
Averages: best 8 scores from all matches of the previous season in the Banffshire league (correct to one decimal point). For new members, the average of 3 cards should be given.
Unless otherwise stated, N.S.R.A. rules will govern the competition

Marksman of the Year
Stage 1
A Postal Competiton for the Huntly Trophy.
Members attaining the highest average from the best 8 out of the first 9 league cards issued by the Association, to be the Club representative. In the event of a tie for the Club representative, the first 9 League cards to be averaged. Subsequent ties to be decided by the use of graduated gauges, the original best 8 to be regauged.
Stage 2
30 Shots , 10 each at similar targets used in the Winter League. After Club representative is known, 3 cards will be issued by the Association. Shot cards to be returned to the League referee.
In the event of tie, the use of the graduated gauges will decide the winner.
Unless otherwise stated, N.S.R.A. rules will govern the competiton.

Junior Short Range Championship

Open to competitors participating in the Winter League under the age of 18 years on 1st November of the current season.
The winner will be decided by the highest average of the best 8 League cards issued by the Assiociation.
Ties to be decided by teh use of graduated gauges, the best 8 cards to be regauged.
Unless otherwise stated, N.S.R.A. rules will govern the competiton.

North of Scotland Team Championship
The Evening Express Challenge Cup
Open to all Rifle Clubs in the North of Scotland.
Affiliation to the Association, for participation in this competition.
A Knock-out Competition.
Club Teams of Four.
Range 15, 20 or 25 yards.
20 Shots per competitor each round.
Ties will be regauged.
Unless otherwise stated, N.S.R.A. rules will govern the competition.

Association Cup Team Handicap Competition
A Knock-out Competition
Club team of Four.
Range 15,20 or 25 yards.
10 shots per competitor each round.
Handicap chosen to remain throughout the competition. Nominated member being unable to shoot, substitute must accept registered start and continue for the remainder of the competition.
All ties will be regauged.
The final to be shot shoulder to shoulder or by special witness appointed at the discretion of the referee.

Veterans' Challenge Trophy
An individual Knock-out Competition.
20 shots per round.
Range 15, 20, 25 yards.
Open to all members of 50 years and over on or before 1st November of the current season.
Members attaining 65 years on or before the 1st November, Entry is FREE.
Ties will be regauged.
Unless otherwise stated NSRA rules will govern the competition.


J A Lawrence Memorial Trophy

An Individual Handicap Compettiton.
Range 15,20 or 25 yards.
Unlimited entry, 4 cards, 40 shots per set.
Sets not attianing visual score of 392 should not be returned for scoring.
Ties will be regauged.
Unless otherwise stated, N.S.R.A. rules will govern the competition.

Pairs Handicap (own start) Competition
A Knock-out competition.
Club teams of Two.
10 shots per competitor in each round.
Range 15, 20 or 25 yards.
NSRA 51 (B) (c) is not applicable.
Handicap chosen is to remain throughout the competition.
Should the member of a nominated pair be unable to shoot, the substitute must accept the registered start and  continue for the remainder of the competition.
All ties will be regauged.
The final to be shot shoulder to shoulder or by special witness appointed by the referee.
